Bhubaneswar: Rajya Sabha MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra on Friday appeared before Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths for questioning in connection with his links with chit fund firm Seashore Group, which duped depositors of crores in Odisha.

The central probe agency interrogated the Rajya Sabha member for abour 4 hours in its office. Though Pyari refused to divulge details about the questions being asked, he said that he provided all information as the agency wanted from him.

"I don’t want to tell anything more. It may affect the investigation process", he said.

Later, in an exclusive interview to OTV, the former bureaucrat-turned politician said he was confronted with Seashore CMD Prashant Das.

When asked, whether CBI called Pravat Biswal on his information, Mohapatra promptly refused saying that he came to know about summon to Pravat when he reached the CBI office.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the central investigating agency raided the house of the RS MP in the capital city and took away some documents with them.

Mohapatra was also interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate over his Seashore link early of this week.
