Cuttack: The second Odisha Teachers' Eligibility Test (OTET) 2014 was held across the State on Sunday despite reports of leakage of question papers in Gajapati district.

A total of 93,952 candidates appeared for the test at 207 centres across the state.

The first sitting was held from 10 AM to 12.30 PM and the second sitting from 2 PM to 4.30 PM. Of the 93,952 candidates, 50,634 appeared for Paper-I in the first sitting while 43,318 candidates sat for Paper-II in the second sitting, Board sources said.

Notably, Gajapati police detained two persons on charges of selling of question booklets. As soon as the report spread, the Board of secondary Education swung into action and asked the district administration to confirm the report.

Later, BSE president Dakhya Prasad Nanda informed media the report of leakeage is a rumor. All the question papers are safe in Gajapati district. So, exam would be held as per the schedule on Sunday, Nanda said on Saturday.
