Police complaint lodged against Congress MP for derogatory remarks

Jagatsinghpur: BJP Jagatsinghpur district president Satyabrat Mohapatra has lodged a police complaint against Congress Rajya Sabha member Ranjib Biswal for making derogatory remarks against him.

As per the complaint, Biswal had allegedly made some objectionable remarks against Mohapatra while addressing a public meeting organised by district Congress unit yesterday.

Protesting such remarks, BJP Yuva Morcha activists staged a demonstration and later burnt an effigy of MP Ranjib Biswal.

“The statement of the Congress leader is very disgraceful. As a political leader, one should not stoop down to such level,” said BJP State Executive member, Raghunandan Dash.

Despite several attempts, the Congress MP could not be contacted for his comments on the matter.
