Bhubaneswar: Refuting the claim of her husband and senior IAS officer Taradatt that his personal and married life are transparent, a visibly exasperated Indulata Das on Monday said the statement of her husband thoroughly contradicts his real modus operandi.
“Is this a proof of morality of a man who indulges in talk with another woman for hours in the late night hours without the knowledge of his wife?”, Das said in a release.
Stating that her husband has made 3173 calls and SMS in 162 days, she wondered about the nature of relationship of her husband with the woman which has driven him to talk to her in the late night hours everyday.
Notably, clarifying his stand on the alleged moral turpitude charges brought by his wife, Taradatt on Monday had said, “I have maintained morality in my married life. I have no extra marital relationship”.
Explaining about the notice served on him by the State Commission for Women (SCW), he said “I have deposed before the commission 5-6 times earlier. Last time, I got the notice at around 7 pm on October 13. I was asked to depose in next working days. I have no intention to delay the hearing process”.
Sources said the top bureaucrat had not appeared before the SCW on October 13 while his wife and complainant Indulata Das had deposed her statement on the same day.
Notably, Indulata had levelled moral turpitude charges against her husband at SCW on July 14 this year.
Prior to this, she had filed a case against her husband with the SCW suspecting his extra-marital affair. She had also filed a written complaint with the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell on December 5 last year alleging mental and physical torture by her husband and sought police security fearing threat to her life.
