Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar will arrive in the capital city on Saturday to inaugurate BJP’s membership drive in Odisha.
Sources said Javadekar will inaugurate the drive at the party’s state office in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the membership drive’s National Coordinator Arun Singh has already reached the city. A meeting will be held at the BJP’s state office where senior party workers will be in attendance.
The party aims at 40 lakh members from the state in next six years including 10% as active members, sources added.
Notably, on November 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the party’s mega membership drive at the national level.
