Bhubaneswar: While hearing a case pertaining to irregularities in sale –purchase of Tehsil land in Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar, the Board of Revenue member secretary Ashok Tripathy has ordered a Crime Branch probe into the matter. Moreover, notices have been served against involved authorities and more than 50 buyers.
According to sources, two IAS officers have also been served notices in this regard.
Notably, one Utsav Sahoo was able to register around 4.5 acre government land situated in Chandrasekhar mouza in his name in 1971. The State government had handed over the said land to the General Administration department. As the General Administration department was not able trace the land, it filed a case against Sahoo.
Subsequently, the General Adminsitration took the case to the Cuttack Board of Revenue members for hearing. Hearing the case, the revenue board has ordered a crime branch probe into the matter.
