Odia girl Sushrii wins Miss national Costume at United Continent pageant
Bhubaneswar: Odia girl Sushrii Shreya Mishraa has won the Best National Costume title at Miss United Continent 2015 pageant in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Mishraa enthralled the judges with her beautifully crafted story-telling and memories of events, the preservations which are showcased upon the national flower – the Lotus, and the national bird – the Peacock.
Sushrii looked amazing with an elaborate costume dressed as The Lotus Princess of Indian Literature. The costume was designed by Melvyn Noronha – the first Asian designer to win a design contest in South America and the only designer in the pageant history to win a National Costume competition in the same pageant back to back.
Born in Sambalpur, the dusky beauty is also a certified scuba diver and her various interests include dancing, cooking, travelling, horse riding, and reading.
As a participant in Femina Miss India 2015 contest, she got two special awards ‘Miss Ramp walk’ and ‘Miss Vivacious’ and was chosen to represent India at Miss United Continent 2015.
Shreya has big dreams and wants to act in Bollywood. She will battle it out with 28 beauties from 28 countries; Shreyaa is no stranger to winning contests. She was crowned as Asian Supermodel India in 2010 ans Miss Friendship in International Asian Supermodel 2010 contest in China. In 2013, she participated at the inaugural edition of Miss Diva contest and became one of the Top 7 semifinalists and also won I AM Popular special award in I Am She – Miss Universe India.
This international beauty contest being held in Guayaquil, Ecuador is similar to Miss Universe, Miss Asia Pacific, with hot girls from all around the globe competing with each other.
