Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated ace sprinter Dutee Chand at the State secretariat on Thursday.
The chief minister congratulated the sprinting sensation and also assured her of providing all possible assistance for the Rio Olympics-2016.
Dutee had won three gold medals in 100 meter, 200 meter and 4X100 relay race in the 55th National Open Athletic Championship at SAI Complex in Kolkata.
Talking to the media, Dutee said she would bring glory for Odisha if the State government provides her a job.
Notably, Chand was banned from participating in the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow after tests had shown naturally occurring higher levels of testosterone in her body. Later, Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) cleared her, saying that the natural level of testosterone in an athlete’s body is not a reason to ban women from competing.
