Sexual harassment: Victim seeks impartial probe
Bhubaneswar: Even as a six-member team of IndusInd Bank arrived here today to conduct an internal inquiry into the alleged sexual harassment at the bank’s Bomikhal branch, the complainant has sought for an impartial probe.
After a meeting with the team, the female employee of the bank, who had filed a police complaint against manager of the branch few days ago, said she is apprehensive about the committee’s report.
“I had thought that the session with them (the team) will be something different. But during conversation, I felt that the report will be a completely biased one,” said the complainant.
“I don’t have any hope that the internal committee will do something in our favour,” she added.
Sources said the committee will submit a report to the bank based on which actions would be initiated against the suspended manager of the branch.
Meanwhile, Khurda superintendent of police Satyabrat Bhoi said that a non-bailable warrant (NBW) would be soon issued against the banker.
“The banker is evading police and there is no co-operation from him as of now. Very soon we will issue an NBW against him,” said Bhoi.
