Puri: With Rath Yatra just a week away, the police department is geared up to manage the law and order and traffic system during the grand festival as large crowd is expected to throng the pilgrim city to witness the annual festival of Lord Jagannatha and his siblings.
According to sources, the department has prepared route maps for vehicular movements in the city. It has prepared different routes maps for four-wheelers, two-wheelers and buses.
Pilgrims from Bhubaneswar who will use four-wheelers to visit the city during the grand festival will have to park their vehicles at Talabania by coming via Malatipatapur, Marine drive and Greed Station. While during returning, they have to take the route of Central school, Bhudan, Greed Station square, Balighat and Nabakalebar road to reach National Highway.
Similarly, another route map has been prepared for visitors who will use two-wheelers to visit Puri. Person who will come from Bhubaneswar using two-wheelers will have to take route of Malatipatapur, Biraharekrushnapur to reach Mangalaghat. Parking places for two-wheelers has been prepared at Jagannath Ballabh mutt, Masani Chandi and Samang.
On the otherhand, buses carrying passengers will have to take railway over bridge route to reach temporary bus parking place made at Talabania.
