Bhubaneswar: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit Odisha soon to attend a programme on the implementation of Forest Rights Act (FRA) in the state.
Though the exact date and venue has not been finalized yet, he will visit the state to lay emphasis on proper implementation of forest land rights, party sources said.
“The Congress vice president will come to Odisha soon. He has already assured us of his visit,” said a senior party leader.
Sources said Gandhi will attend a rally on forest land rights at a place in a tribal dominated area.
Notably, the Gandhi scion had visited Odisha on September 10 and 11 last year to lead a Chashi Bachao Padyatra (Save Farmer March) in Bargarh district.
