Bhubaneswar: Odisha Steel and Mines minister Prafulla Mallick today informed that the department has sent the draft of District Mineral Foundation to the Law department and after due approval it will be executed.
Based on the rules, the State government would form a governing body which will be called as District Mineral Foundation.
The RDC or collectors of mining affected districts would be the chairperson of the body, he said.
Similarly, the local legislators, MP and members of zilla parishad will be members of the Foundation, the minister said.
The Foundation will focus on the development of infrastructure, health and education of the regions.
