Police rescues man tied to electricity pole for four days

Sonepur: In a deplorable incident, an unidentified person tied to an electricity pole for four days in Sonepur was rescued by police. The man was found by the villagers with his hand tied behind his back. The villager after discovering him informed the police who reached the spot and rescued him.

According to sources, the man was tied to the pole in the chilling cold for four long days. The man was in a frail condition and was unable to speak, informed sources. In view of his critical condition, police have admitted him in the hospital.

As he was not able to speak, we have not been able to ascertain why he was kept in such a condition, said police sources.

“The man has been rescued in a joint rescue operation carried out by fire brigade and police. He was shivering and was not able to speak. He has been admitted to hospital. Investigation is on and after his condition improves we will be able to get some information from him,” said Biramaharajpur SDPO Bhawani Shankar Udgata.
