Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday formed a sub-committee to determine a green corridor for hassle-free movement of ambulance vans in the state capital.
This was decided at a high-level meeting presided over by police commissioner RP Sharma here.
As decided in the meeting, each government and private ambulance van would be equipped with global positioning system (GPS).
The movement of the ambulance vans would be closely monitored by the 108 Ambulance control room.
“The sub-committee would submit its report on the proposed green corridor within two weeks. On the basis of the report, necessary steps would be taken”, Sharma told reporters after the meeting.
