Odisha to put Nabakalebara festival in digital space

Bhubaneswar: In a significant move towards branding of Odisha’s culture & tourism, the state government has been preparing to hoist Lord Jagannath’s Nabakalebara festival as an international event on digital space through interactive website, mobile app and social media.

The Information Technology application for the purpose initiated by IT department was reviewed today in a meeting held under Chairmanship of Chief Secretary G C Pati. Pati suggested the IT officials toensurethe factual consistency and accuracy of the information put on the website.

The department has also been advised to include outskirts of Puri like Raghurajpur, Sakshigopal,Pipili, Konark on the website.

A committee comprised chief administrator, Puri, secreary IT, secretary information and public relations, tourism and culture, district collector and SP of Puri district. The committee members will scrutinize the contents to be put in the website.

Meanwhile, Pati directed to make the website more utility oriented for visitors, tourists and people ofOdisha. The website has been named as www.nabakalebara.gov.in.

The target audience of the website are pilgrims, tourists, travel blog writers, people of Odisha and those living outside the state.
