New Delhi: State Housing and Urban Development minister Pushpendra Singhdeo inaugurated the Odisha Day at Hamsadhwani Theatre in New Delhi during the 35th India International Trade Fair(ITTF) on Tuesday.
State Health and Family Welfare and I&PR minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak graced the event as the chief guest.
On the occasion, Nayak released the special issue of Utkala Prasanga and Odisha Review published by the state I&PR department.
This was followed by a colourful cultural show in which the Odissi dance by Kavita Dwivedy and her associates, Gotipua dance by the Odisha Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpuri dance by Lokanrutya Academy, Bargarh, Sinhari dance by Prativa Folk Dance Group, Bhawanipatna, traditional folk dance by Sur Vibration Charitable Trust, Bhubaneswar, Ghoda Nacha by Sangeet Kala Sansad, Choudwar enthralled the audience.
The event was attended by Sunil Kumar Bhargava, Chief Residence Commissioner; Manoranjan Panigrahy, commissioner-cum-secretary, Department of Culture and I&PR Department; Sanjib Kumar Mishra, Resident Commissioner; Sushil Kumar Das, Director, I&PR; Lenin Mohanty, edior, Utkala Prasanga and Odisha Review; RS Behera, deputy director-cum deputy secretary; Tapan Kumar Das, deputy director and RK Nayak, director, Odisha Pavillion.
The Odisha Pavilion has been attracting huge crowd with its multi-faceted exhibition on the theme of the ITTF “Make in India”.
It may be mentioned that ITTF, which is held from November 14 to 27 every year at Pragati Maidan, serves as a global platform for exhibitors from around the world to showcase their goods and culture.
Over 7,000 domestic and foreign firms from 28 countries are participating in the IITF 2015.
