NYCA holds cultural fest to preserve ‘yatra’ tradition
Bhubaneswar: In its bid to nurture the rich ‘yatra’ tradition in the State, Niladrivihar Youth & Cultural Association (NYCA) conducted the Subha Annual Ustav of the 22nd Annual Cultural Fest and Yatra Mohastav on the occasion of Republic Day and Magha Saptami.
In a glittering function chaired by association president Prakash Chandra Panigrahi in the premises of Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, city mayor Ananta Narayan Jena praised the efforts of the NYCA members and assured them to look into their proposal of the association having its own building.
Among others, Jagannath Pattnaik, vice-chancellor of Kalinga University, Chhattisgarh, advisors of the association Abhaya Kumar Samantaray and Chandra Sekhar Pati, corporators Monalisha Sahoo and Debi Prasad Mallick and academician Srabani Pattnaik attended the function.
Chhabi Barik, director of plays ‘Barasha Rani Ra Bhija Odhani’ and ‘Katha Rahigala Yuga Yuga Ku’ to be staged during the show in May, was also present on the occasion.
