Bhubaneswar: Clarifying his stand on the alleged moral turpitude charges brought by his wife, senior IAS officer Taradatt on Monday said he has been following a moral life style to uphold his clean image.
“I have maintained morality in my married life. I have no extra marital relationship”, the senior bureaucrat told news men here.
Explaining about the SCW notice, he said “I have deposed before the commission 5-6 times earlier. Last time, I got the notice at around 7 pm on October 13. I was asked to depose in next working days. I have no intention to delay the hearing process”.
Sources said the top bureaucrat had not appeared before the SCW on October 13 while his wife and complainant Indulata Das had deposed her statement on the same day.
Notably, Indulata had levelled moral turpitude charges against her husband at SCW on July 14 this year.
Prior to this, she had filed a case against her husband with the SCW suspecting his extra-marital affair.
She had also filed a written complaint with the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell on December 5 last year alleging mental and physical torture by her husband and sought police security fearing threat to her life.
