Cuttack: Milk-product traders of Cuttack dealing with cheese, paneer and raw khua today decided to increase the price of their products.
At an executive body meeting here, the Cuttack milk-product traders decided to increase the cheese price by Rs 10 a kg, paneer price by Rs 15 a kg and khua price by Rs 20 a kg from January 26.
“Cheese would now be sold at Rs 145 a kg, paneer at Rs 180 a kg and khua at Rs 190 a kg from January 26,” informed the Traders? association general secretary Pradeep Behera.
He said in view of the recent increase in milk price by the government-run OMFED, we were left with no choice but to follow suit.
OMFED had hiked the milk price by Rs two a litre about a month ago.
