Madhusudan Pati gets Atibadi Jagannath Das award

Bhubaneswar: Eminent litterateur Madhusudan Pati received the coveted Atibadi Jagannath Das Puraskar for his contribution to Odia language and literature for 2015 at a function here.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a citation and a plaque.

The other Sahitya Akademi awardees who received awards for the year 2011 are Satyapriya Mahalik for his novel Sunyakala, Nivedita Jena for play, Sarada Prasad Mishra for short story, Prabodh Kumar Mishra in essay and criticism category, Pitambar Mishra for poetry, Rama Devi for travel literature, Sritesh Tripathy for translation, Raj Kishore Padhi for children literature and Manoj Pattnaik in the category of Geeti Kabita.

Similarly for 2012, while Nabakishore Raj received the award in novel category, Ajaya Swain got the award for short story and Haraprasad Parichha Patnaik for poetry. The other winners are Chintamani Jena, Krushna Chandra Mishra, Sauribandhu Kar, Bilasini Mohanty, Debraj Samantray and Satya Pattnaik.
