Operations resume at Paradip Port
Paradip: After three days of logjam the logistical operations began at Paradip Port in Jagatsinghpur district today. Seaways Shipping & Logistics Ltd began loading/unloading cargo from MV-Harm ship docked at CQ-1 berth of port.
Chief secretary G C Pati also visited Paradip port today and held discussions with the authorities. He further directed the district administration to maintain law and order in the port.
Earlier in the day, 25 dumpers entered the port amidst tight security. Moreover, police has been deployed to maintain law and order in the port.
Notably, due to the stir between Paradip port authorities and Stevedores’ Association since Wednesday, the loading and unloading operations of cargo came to a halt. Even the meeting which was held yesterday at the additional collector’s office between both the parties didn’t result in any fruitful outcome.
