Bhubaneswar: Trahi Achyuta ashram in Jhinti Sasan has been valued at Rs 20 crore 66 lakh, said sources at Crime Branch headquarters in Cuttack today.
Source added the ashram’s valuation included the temple, Pothighara and cow protection centre or ‘Gosala’.
The valuation of the ashram was done jointly by Crime Branch, Works and Archaeology departments.
Meanwhile, 91 acres, owned by the ashram, have been traced so far, said the CB sources adding that the land holdings might increase further.
Earlier, during police remand the ashram’s chief Surendra Mishar alias Sura baba’s elder son Trilochan revealed that 82 acres of land were possessed by the Ashram and their family members.
In a related development, the Khurda district administration removes encroachment of Trahi Achyuta ashram spread across 1.5 acres at Ghangapatna in Chandka today. Four houses and a yagna mandap built on the encorached land were also demolished.
