Bhubaneswar: With an aim to attract young entrepreneurs and large-scale investments, the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar (IIT-BBS) has proposed to set up a research and entrepreneurship park here on the outskirts of the city.
A decision in this regard was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by chief secretary GC Pati here on Saturday.
“We have proposed to set up a research and entrepreneurship park in Bhubaneswar to nurture the young entrepreneurs for which, the Centre has agreed to sanction around Rs 50 crore”, said IIT-BBS director R.V. Rajakumar.
The Odisha government has also agreed to provide the land required for the ambitious project, Rajkumar added.
The park will play a key role in promoting and nurturing small and medium entrepreneurs with providing research and technical support.
