Bhubaneswar: An IndiGo flight made emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International airport here at 7.50 am on Monday after a passenger complained of severe chest pain.
“It was an over flying flight which had an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International airport here following a passenger complained a severe chest pain”, said Sarad Kumar, BPIA director.
The ailing traveler identified as Sashi Menon has been admitted to Capital hospital. His condition is stable, doctors said, adding he needs more treatment. His family has been informed about the incident, they added.
On the other hand, the Kolkata bound flight which took off from Hyderbad carrying 158 passengers in the morning left for its destination after getting go ahead from traffic controller. The non-scheduled plane halted for around 30 minutes at Bhubaneswar airport.
