Berhampur: Four human skeletons were seized by police from three different places in Ganjam district today.
While two skeletons were found in a drain at Aska near K Nuagaon, about 45-km from here, another was seized from a cashew orchard at Patharaplli and one more from Bahuda river bank at Balarampur under K.Nuagaon police station limit, police said.
The skeletons found from Aska were identified as that of K.Siba Shankar Dora (32), who worked in the CRPF camp at Bhanjanagar and his nephew P.Digambar Dora (22)of Mohanapalli near Kabisurya nagar. Family members of the deceased recognised them from their dress, police said.
They were missing since March 20. When the family members could not locate them a complaint was lodged with the police on March 22.
“We will send the skeletons to the Forensic Department, MKCG Medical College and Hospital here for chemical analysis to ascertain the cause of the death,” said SP (Ganjam) Narsingh Bhol.
The other two skeletons are yet to be identified, the police said adding they would be sent for tests to know the cause of the death.
