Cuttack: The Odisha government will spend Rs 100 crore for the infrastructure development and expansion of Sardar Ballav Bhai Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics also known as Sishu Bhawan here.
This was informed by Health and Family Welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak after visiting the child health care centre.
Nayak stated that in first phase Rs 20 crore would be spent to expand the wards.
“The expansion includes opening of several departments in the wards and facility of blood banks. The work would be completed within two years,” Nayak said.
Informing about increase in number of beds at the hospital, the minister said that the government was actively considering to appoint more doctors in the hospital.
