Conflict in Congress: Meeting of MLAs tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: To address the conflict between the members of Odisha congress over the visit of 12 MLAs to New Delhi at a time to meet the high command, a meeting of the party’s legislators will be convened tomorrow in two phases. In the first phase, a meeting of the 12 MLAs who met the high command in New Delhi has been called by the Odisha Congress president Prasad Harichandan. Subsequently, a meeting of all the 16 Congress MLAs will be held.

According to sources, Harichandan will discuss the matter with all the concerned MLAs and will try to address the conflict. Moreover, in the evening all the MLAs of Congress will meet under the chairmanship of the leader of opposition Narshingh Mishra.

Meanwhile, Congress chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati, who seemingly has been the source of discord, has clarified that he has not been called for the meeting.
On the other hand, both Harichandan and Narshingh have remained mum on the agenda of the meeting.
