Bhubaneswar: Most parts of Odisha would experience cold wave in the next three days from November 4, the local Met office said in a release on Sunday.
As per the release, there has been a steady fall in the night temperature in the last three days in the state. While the trend will continue for some days, the intensity of cold will be felt in almost all parts of the state in the next three days as the sky would remain cloudless during the period, it added.
Talking to the media on Sunday, director, Regional Meteorological Centre, Dr Sarat Chandra Sahu said most parts of the Odisha are presently experiencing chilly weather under the influence of an upper air trough line formed at a height of 2.1 km from the sea level. As a result, the movement of air has become west-north-west.
“It is expected that the trough line would disappear in the next 24 hours after which the sky would remain cloudless which would be favourable for the onset of cold wave”, Sahu added.
