Cuttack: The Crime Branch of Odisha police will produce the accused of Astrang quadruple murder case in Nimapada JMFC court again on Tuesday and pray to extend their remand period for more six-day.
The investigating agency, which had sought 10 days remand, was allowed only four days after it produced the accused duo in court on Saturday.
The couple-Himadri Das alias Rahim & Ayesha Begum- was arrested on October 10 on charges of murdering retired DI of school Dinabandhu Mallik, his wife and two minor daughters at Dinadian village under Astarang police limits in Puri district.
Earlier on Friday, the probe agency caught the couple from Hailakandi district in Assam bordering Bangladesh. Later, Crime Branch ADG BK Sharma had informed media that it was a pre-planned murder and the reason of crime is monetary gain.
