Bhadrak: A bonded labouer was allegedly murdered near a temple in Bhandaripokhari of Bhadrak district for allegedly refusing work on Friday night.
The body was found lying at Subarnamukhi temple with cut marks on his neck. He has been identified as Dulal Singh Majhi of Silda village in Nuapada district.
Bhadrak police sent the body to his family after registering a case of unnatural death while his family members did not receive it and staged demonstration with the villagers demanding compensation.
They alleged that Dulal was sacrificed at the temple after he refused to work.
However, Nuapada police assured them of thorough investigation. No reactions from Bhadrak police have yet been received.
