New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda today met union Health minister JP Nadda in New Delhi over a boy’s death due to dengue and his parents’ suicide over frustration.
The Lok Sabha member also requested the union minister for expediting the probe in to the unfortunate incident while suggesting some measures for prevention of the mosquito-borne diseases.
“I would suggest setting up of dengue camps in high-risk areas. These camps would offer emergency medical help, control deterioration of health and facilitate hospital admission for dengue patient”, Panda said.
The seven-year-old Avinash Rout was admitted to a hospital late in a critical condition following denial of two private hospitals that led to his death. Being frustrated over the death of one and only son, his parents committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a four-storey apartment at Lado Sarai area of south Delhi.
The Kendrapara couple- identified as Lakshman Chandra Rout (35) and Babita Rout (30) left a suicide note written in Odia that nobody was responsible for their act and they were in extreme shock over their son’s death.
