Bhubaneswar: The Special CBI Court today allowed continuation of bail for former Advocate-General (AG) Ashok Mohanty.
After being summoned, Mohanty today appeared before the court and appealed for extention of his bail.
Notably, Mohanty was granted a conditional bail on September 26 last year by a local court after being arrested for his alleged links with Artha Tatwa (AT) chit fund company chief Pradip Sethi.
Sources said Mohanty has been named as an accused in the CBI’s chargesheet regarding the multi-crore chit fund scam.
Meanwhile, 18 accused, including Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy, DSP Pramod Panda and model Preeti Bhatia, were produced before the CBI court.
