Bhubaneswar: In a high-level meeting presided over by Odisha chief secretary G C Pati, it was decided that IIT-Bhubaneswar’s new campus at Argul will be open from July this year.

Pati suggested the authorities of IIT-Bhubaneswar to make arrangements for rain water harvesting facility in its new campus.

“Making rain water harvesting structures will help reduce dependence on ground water,” Pati said while issuing directions to complete the structures before onset of monsoon.

The state Roads and Buildings department was directed to expedite the construction of an approach road and complete it before schedule. It was also decided that a police outpost be set up at the Argul campus, he said.

Reviewing the progress of construction, Pati directed all concerned officials to complete their work by the end of April.
