New Delhi: In a bid to strengthen the party’s presence in the State, BJP national president Amit Shah is slated to undertake a visit to Odisha in May, said senior leader Suresh Pujari.
In a meeting at party headquarters in Delhi yesterday, the State BJP leaders met party Amit Shah and prepared the road map for coming 2019 general election, Pujari added.
Shah discussed on party affairs and status in Odisha in the first phase. In second session, party’s organisation affair chief Ramlal also discussed with the leaders.
The discussion included political situation of the state, progress of membership drive, planning for 2019 polls, said BJP State president Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.
According to sources, nine top leaders of the State joined the meeting while Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray and union minister Jual Oram skipped the discussion as both the leaders are looking after programmes for prime minister Narendra Modi’s Rourkela visit on April 1.
