All villages of Odisha to get electricity in next one and half years: Goyal
Bhubaneswar: Union Coal and Power Minister Piyush Goyal’s press conference begins at the BJP office today. In the conference he spoke about some very crucial matters for the welfare and development of the state.
The centre plans for facilitating all the villages of the nation with electricity connection, so that the farmers can use them in the fields for better production.
Goyal said, “Over 50 lakh families in Odisha are yet to get electricity connection. They will be getting it in the next one and half years.”
He further added in the conference, “Odisha will earn over Rs 45,000 cr from coal block auction which the state government can use for the betterment of the state. Along with this the State will also get all sort of assistance from the centre from the programmes initiated by the Modi government for the development of the Eastern India”.
The Union minister also spoke about the centre’s plans to set up eight new medical colleges in the State in coming days. Out of which three will have health care facilities. Besides it is also planning to carry out extensions of MCL, NTPC and Rourkela based SAIL hospitals.
For the development of Talcher’s coal transportation a new rail network will be set up. This will have the partnership from the State government.
Meanwhile all the freedom fighters from the State will be provided with free medical check-ups at MCL AND NTPC hospitals.
Notably, Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan and State BJP president Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo shared the stage with Piyush Goyal at the press conference.
