Bhubaneswar: People from Odisha desired to visit Varanasi can fly directly from Bhubaneswar as Air India started flight service between the two cities from today
The flight departed from Varanasi at 12:30 PM and arrived at Bhubaneswar at 2:00 PM. On its return journey, it departed from Bhubaneswar at 2:45 PM and reached Varanasi at 4:15 PM.
According to sources, the flight will operate four times a week. The service will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The duration of the flight will be 90 minutes.
With this flight, air connectivity is now established between Bhubaneswar and seven cities of the country by flight operators Air India, Indigo, GoAir, and Air Vistara.
On October 30, Air India authorities had informed the Airports Authority of India about the new flight to Varanasi and submitted their winter schedule for the new route, Airport director Sharad Kumar said.
