Khurda: A total of six persons were arrested by a special squad of Begunia police for their alleged involvement in a robbery case at Tikatala village in the district on Wednesday.
The accused are residents of Pichukuli and Begunia areas, said Dilip Kumar Das, Khurda SP.
Further, he stated mastermind of the gang Raju alias Pramod Patnaik was among the arrested persons. Arms and some stolen goods were also seized from their possession, the SP added.
Notably, on October 19, a gang of seven-eight robbers looted cash and jewellery worth more than Rs 1 lakh from the house of Shantanu Behera at knife point.
