Rourkela: Acting on a tip-off, Sundargarh police has arrested four members of banned People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) and seized four pistols, motorcycles and bullets from their possession on Saturday.
The PLFI members were scheming to execute a loot, which is when they were nabbed by the police.
Source said the arrested persons were involved in Mandiakuda petrol pump robbery that occurred last week.
Besides, they are involved in loots at different places in Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
While two of the arrested persons are from Biramitrapur of Sundargarh district, others are from Kolabira of Jharkhand. The PLFI members used to commit crime in Odisha and sneak into Jharkhand.
