29 from Odisha return from quake-hit Nepal
Kendrapara: Out of 445 Odia people stuck in quake-hit Nepal 29 returned to home safely while others are safe, sources from the office of Special Relief Commissioner said.
As many as 376 people from Kendrapra district alone stranded in the neighbouring country out of which 18 have reached home. Similalry, four from Ganjam district arrived in State safely, sources added. Efforts are on to rescue others from the Himalayan country, SRC sources maintained.
After being reunited, the family members expressed utter happiness while the families of those who are still stranded there, are seen praying relentlessly.
A labourer Raj Kishore Das, who returned with his wife yesterday, told media persons that he was lucky enough to escape such a devastating earthquake while many others were fell victim in front of his eyes.
