This was informed by Food and Civil Supplies minister Sanjay Dasburma after attending meeting of collectors of the zone.

“We aim to procure 19.96% paddy from Central revenue zone of the total procurement target this kharif marketing season (KMS),” Dasburma said.

The minster also informed paddy procurement automation system (P-PAS) has been replicated in 38 Blocks of the zone.

“To increase transparency and efficiency in the procurement system, we have made the P-PAS operational in 38 Blocks of the zone,” Dasburma stated.

In June, after successful operation of the system during 2014-15 KMS, the State government had decided to it in 160 high procuring blocks during 2015-16 KMS.
