Balangir: The mid-day meal rice looted from Malapada residential school under Khaprakhol block in the district has got a twist as 20 packets of rice of 25 stolen packets were found in front of the school’s godown today.

The school’s principal Krushna Chandra Mahala said police will be informed about the development.

Further, he stated a Class X student and two Plus II students of the school are involved in the loot.

However, allegations were made that a villager of Sahajapani village had stolen the rice packets, and later brought 20 packets in a pick-up van and dropped them in front of the school godown.

Notably, on August 30, 25 packets of rice were stolen and the school’s principal had lodged a complaint at Lathor police station.
