Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) on Wednesday announced a special tour package for the upcoming Rath Yatra. Two AC buses were flagged off here by Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda in presence of Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena and Bhubaneswar (North) MLA Priyadarshi Mishra and OTDC Chairman Dilip Tirkey.

The buses will ply between Bhubaneswar and Puri from July 14. They would take passengers from Panthanivas in Bhubaneswar to Puri where all arrangements for viewing the Rath Yatra including lodging and fooding facilities will be made by the OTDC officials.

The cost of the entire package is Rs 4,199 per person.

"Arrangement of 100 seats has been made on the rooftop of Hotel Grand Central and Jagannath Ballav Math in Puri for watching Rath Yatra on payment basis. Two Volvo buses were inaugurated today and two more are already with us that will be deployed during Rath Yatra and upcoming events," said Director of Odisha Tourism, Nitin Bhanudas Jawale.
