Sambalpur: A man was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court in Sambalpur district today for murdering a widow in January 2010.

Magistrate Padmalochan Das also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on Karunakar Tandi (26) of Purunapani village under Kuchinda police limits for murdering Sukanti Kua (47) in the midnight of January 16, 2010. Altogether 14 witnesses were examined in the case.
