Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident on New Year, one person was killed and twenty injured in a road accident near Khallikote PS in Ganjam.

The incident took place when the bus headed towards Bhubaneswar from Aska turned turtle, killing the helper of the bus and injuring twenty others.

The deceased was identified as Simanchal Patra of Kholakholi village, near Buguda. Patra was an assistant in the passenger bus which turned turtle on the mid-way between Aska and Bhubaneswar.

While three seriously injured persons were shifted to MKCG Medical College Hospital here, others were undergoing treatment at a health center at Khallikote, sources said.
