Bhubaneswar: The last date of online application for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) has been extended from March 10 to 22.

This was announced by the OJEE authorities on Wednesday.

Talking to OTV, OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahu said some students have not been able to apply for the test due to some problems. “Considering their problem, we have decided to extend the application date to March 22 to give them the opportunity to participate in the all India test,” he added.

Stating that about 30,000 students have already applied for the test, Sahu said with the extension of the application date, it is expected that more students will apply online.

Except the extension of application date, there will be no change in the examination schedule, he pointed out.

The state government will conduct the OJEE on May 8. Students can apply online for the entrance test through OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in

Barring Engineering and Medical streams, the test would be held for admission in MBA, MCA, M.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Lateral Entry Engineering, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) courses.

The government, it may be noted, has recently given itself the option of deciding whether to go for OJEE or the all-India JEE for Engineering and Medical courses in the state.
