Odisha man performs black magic in hospital to cure wife
Angul: Still some people tend to choose superstition over medical science and no matter how surprising it may be in this age, such incidents keep on surfacing in Odisha. In one such incident, a man brought a black magician to the district headquarters hospital in Angul today to heal her wife’s snake-bite wound.
The woman identified as Sabitri Dehury was admitted to the hospital yesterday night after being bitten by a snake. Today, her husband called a black magician from Chhendipada area and allegedly performed some sorcery inside the hospital to cure her.
Later, when some people informed the hospital authorities about the matter, the black magician fled the hospital premises.
CDMO (Chief District Medical Officer), Rabi Chandra Gadnaik said that it was a case of trespassing after which the accused managed to perform black magic inside the hospital premises.
“We have tight security arrangements in the hospital but the accused managed to enter by impersonating an attendant. He also conducted black magic inside the hospital,” the CDMO said.
