Bhubaneswar: Odisha BJP will hold its executive meeting on March 27 in Puri. Ahead of the executive meet, the saffron party’s office bearers’ meeting will be held on March 26.

“BJP’s day-long executive meeting will be held on March 27 in Puri. On March 26 evening a meeting of all the MLAs, senior leaders and office bearers will be held. We will discuss, the central government’s emphasis and prioritization of Odisha’s development,” BJP general secretary Bhrugu Bauxipatra on Friday.

The 2-day meeting will be first meeting of the new executive body under the newly-appointed party chief Basant Panda. According to sources, the two Union ministers of the party will also be present during the meeting which will seek finalize a blueprint of the various programs to be undertaken by the party in the next 3 months.

The party will also discuss various issues through which it will target the ruling BJD. The party will highlight the drinking water problem, undeclared power cuts, lack of doctors in State and other host of issues in which the State government has failed to resolve, said party sources.

Moreover, the party will discuss ways to create awareness about various social programs of the central government and steps to be taken to make them reach to the needy people.

Finally, the saffron party will also look into ways through which the party’s organization could be strengthened, informed sources.
