Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine die today, four days ahead of schedule, after ratifying the appropriation bill marking conclusion of the budget session.

The House, which was scheduled to be in session till April 4, had sittings for 28 days in two phases.

The Rs 84,487.77 crore budget for 2015-16 had been presented by Finance Minister Pradip Kumar Amat on February 16.

The first phase of the assembly session which had commenced on February 6 continued till February 21, while the second phase had begun on March 11.

While issues like power tariff hike and potato problem rocked the House during the second spell of the assembly, normalcy had been restored after government's announcement yesterday that it would approach Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission for roll back of electricity tariff in agriculture sector.
