Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik has denied reports suggesting that he met prime minister Narendra Modi during his four-day visit to Delhi.

Replying to queries of mediapersons, Patnaik said, “No, I did not meet the PM during this visit.”

When asked about the recent development of court summoning former prime minister Manmohan Singh regarding Talabira coal field allocation to Hindalco, Patnaik said, “The orders from the court are quite clear and it has nothing to do with us.”

Commenting over his party’s position on the Land Acquisition Bill, the chief minister said, “Our stand about the Bill will be known quite clearly in the Parliament.”

During his visit to the country’s capital, Patnaik met Union Finance minister, Union Power minister and Union Steel and Mines minister. “We discussed about the uneven allocation of coal mines to non-regulated sectors in the State,” he added.
