Mock drill at Airport for Nabakalebar

Bhubaneswar: A mock drill was conducted at Biju Patnaik airport here before the Nabakalebar festival aiming at facing any untoward situation during the grand festival.

A mock exercise of the doctors treating the injured air officials and fire brigade, NDRF, CISF rescuing visitors and other officials were conducted at core area of the airport.

On the other hand, Air Odisha is gearing up to start operation before grand event. The company has opened its counter at the airport and nine-seated mini flights have already come.

Air Odisha will connect from the state capital to Konark, Rourkela, Jeypore, and Jharsuguda after getting go ahead from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
